在托福的备考中，长难句一直是许多同学心中的一个痛处。看到长长的句子，就感觉一个头三个大，晕头倒向，看前面也不是，看后面也不是。

还有些同学，一定要把整个句子的每个词全部看懂，才开始做题，这份认真却导致考试的时间不够用。

今天小T酱就为大家带来长难句拆分的技巧，让长难句化繁为简，不再为长难句犯难。OK，我们开始吧！

长难句的语法知识点包含较为全面和综合，惯用伎俩主要是加大修饰成分和从句的难度。

三大从句和三大非谓语动词更是成为托福阅读长难句的考察重点。首先，同学们要先分清哪些是句子的主要程分，哪些是句子的修饰成分。

第一步：找句子中的动词。我们先在句子中，把所有的动词用笔划出来。然后再仔细区分哪个是主句谓语动词，哪个是非谓语动词。

第二步：找到句子中的连词。如果一个句子中有一个以上的动词，那必须要有连词把它分开。结合第一步，我们可以分清哪个是主句，哪个是分句。

第三步：找到句子的主谓宾，除了倒装句型和强调句外，大多数句子的结构都是“主-谓-宾”。

主语和宾语通常有很长的修饰修饰成分。我们记住几类常见的修饰法则即可。如形容词后置作定语，现在分词和过去分词后置作定语，从句修饰这几种修饰方法。

例1：Since the laws of physics, not some arbitrary decisions, have determined the general form of appiled-art object, they follow basic patterns, so much so that functional forms can vary only within certain limits.

首先，我们快速读完整个句子，把句中的动词都划出来，一共3个动词。

第二步：找结构，可以看到整个句子中有两个主语，分别为laws of physics和they。由此，可以看出，从they开始的后半句，前一部分句子的从句，前一部分为主句。在做题时，我们可以将主要注意力集中在前半部分。

例2：Totally without light and subjected to intense pressures hunderds of times greater than at the Earth’s surface,the deep-ocean bottom is a hostile environment to humans in some ways as forbidding and remove as the void of outer space.

首先，我们找到句中的动词，有subject,is,forbid和remove。

第二步：我们找到句子的连词：in some ways，意思是在某种程度上，则可以将后面的内容看作修饰性成分。

hunderds of times greater than at the Earth’s surface用于修饰intense pressures（巨大的压力），由此推断，主句是the deep-ocean bottom is a hostile environment to humans，意思为深海海底是对人类不利的环境。结构：原因状语+主句+后置定语

例3：Basic to any understanding of Canada in the 20 years after the Second World War is the country’s impressive population growth.

动词：is，连词：after

这是一个倒装句，正常的语序是Population growth is basic to any understanding of Canada in the 20 years after the Second World War.

例4：as a result claims that eating a diet consisting entirely of organically grown foods prevents or cures disease or provides other benefits to health have become widely publicized and forn the basis for folklore.

首先，我们找到句中的动词：eat, prevent,cure,provide,become

然后，我们找到连词，that，此处that指代claims，即that后为分句部分，修饰claims，直到have become动词出现。所以主要表达的是绿色食品就能防治疾病或增进健康的观点广为人知，并成为一些民间说法的基础。
