大学教育除了给毕业生一个进入职场的“门槛”，也就是我们所谓的敲门砖，对于个人综合素质的提高和某一专业领域的提升也有极大的帮助。

I think university education can undoubtedly upgrade a student’s knowledge level, especially in terms of the field he/she has chosen. If the student wants to pursue a further education, the knowledge he learned and the practical experience he/she gained through university education would help to lay a solid foundation and to make the student a professional in his/her field. Besides, university education leads students to the right directions and enhance their skills in a comprehensive way. For example, group projects teach students the qualities needed to become a great teamwork player.

I disagree with this statement for the following reasons. First, the behavior of sending gifts shows good will. People who send gifts consume time and energy, some of them even spend a lot of money. Gift receivers should be thankful for this. Second, if the behavior of resending gifts is found out, it will be really embarrassing. The gift sender can be disappointed and mad about this and end the friendship with the gift receiver from then on.  It’s such a shame. So I think to show respect and avoid embarrassment, people shouldn’t give the gifts away to others.

The issue regarding the methods teachers can utilize to enhance students' interests in studying, today, has never failed to arouse the public concern and at the same time provoke a heated debate among individuals. Some are inclined to be strong believers in the extreme claim that teaching through high technology or conducting more group works can facilitate students to be more active and energetic towards learning. Perhaps sound and attractive as their argument seems, but it can hardly bear closer analysis. Accordingly, l, without hesitation, advocate that relating the academic knowledge to the real world while teaching is the most effective way to improve students' enthusiasm on account of the following evident reasons and examples.

On the one hand, knowing the exact applications of the knowledge and great help they can receive after mastering it, students are more likely have the stronger internal motivation to study. To be specific, many students are tired of calculating complicated functions or reciting boring historic events, and one of the largest reason is that they do not think they will need these sort of things in their daily life. Going to the markets or doing the housework both do not need such complex contents, so it is kind of reasonable for students to have little motivation of learning them. However, if while learning statistics and economics, students can realize the way of managing their future income and investment as well, they will absolutely develop more ardor towards learning. Thus, it is extremely useful for teachers to connect academic contents with the reality in order to stimulate students' interests. (149 words)
